This Privacy Policy explains how ABN Global Ventures Private Limited ("we", "us") handles personal information collected through the Forked Roots platform.

1. Information we collect

• Account data — name, email, phone, outlet details you provide when signing up.
• Guest booking data — name, phone, party size, booking notes submitted by your guests through your outlet page.
• Operational data — menu items, offers, events, cover-charge ledger entries, staff PIN activity.
• Technical data — device type, browser, IP address, timestamps, and diagnostic logs.

2. How we use it

• To deliver and operate the Service (bookings, QR menu, dashboards, wallet).
• To send transactional WhatsApp/SMS/email confirmations and reminders on your outlet's behalf.
• To improve product quality, prevent fraud, and secure the platform.
• To comply with legal, tax and accounting obligations.

3. Legal basis

We process personal data to perform our contract with you, to comply with law, and where you or your guests have provided consent (e.g., submitting a booking form).

4. Sharing

We do not sell personal data. We share it only with:

• Sub-processors that host or transmit data on our behalf (cloud hosting, WhatsApp Business gateway, email/SMS providers).
• Payment processors when you subscribe to a paid plan.
• Authorities when required by law or valid legal process.

5. Storage & security

Data is stored on managed cloud infrastructure with encryption in transit and at rest. Tenant data is isolated at the row level (Row-Level Security). Access to production data is restricted to authorised engineers on a need-to-know basis.

6. Retention

We retain account and booking data for as long as your subscription is active and for a reasonable period thereafter to comply with legal and audit requirements. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by writing to us; some records may be retained where required by law.

7. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by emailing info@abnglobalventures.com. Guests should contact the outlet that collected their booking; we act as a processor for that data.

8. Cookies

We use essential cookies and local storage to keep you signed in, remember cart contents, and operate the dashboard. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

9. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their data.

10. International transfers

Data may be processed on servers located outside India by our sub-processors. Where this occurs, appropriate safeguards are in place.

11. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified via email or in-app notice.
